Eat Your Vegetables!

Your mom was right. I know, it sucks. You really do need to eat you vegetables.

Believe it or not, if you are focused on optimal health, you’d better get a variety of veggies into your body each and every day. The colors, textures, and flavors all have real meaning.

Want fiber? Eat the cruciferous veggies. Brussels sprouts, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, and lettuces.

Want calcium and iron? Eat the dark leafy greens. Spinach, kale, collard greens, mustard greens, turnip greens, and the like.

Want vitamin C? Eat bright colored veggies. Peppers are my favorite.

There’s a huge variety of nutrients in each and every veggie, so it’s in your best interest to eat as many different varieties as possible.
